The Yemeni authority handed over four Saudis to the Saudi authorities in the framework of the security cooperation between the two countries, Yemeni official source said.

The source said Yemen handed over four Saudis affiliating to AlQaeda to Saudi Arabia in the 23rd of this month.

“This step comes in the framework of cooperation and coordination between the Yemeni and Saudi security forces in field of exchanging the wanted people between the two countries and combating terror and organized crimes at the top of which drugs smuggling and trading,” the source added.

This step comes one day after the visit of Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Saudi Arabia in which he held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah on major international issues including Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon. They also explored ways of strengthening bilateral ties.
